it doesnt do anything except let people know if your new to xboxlive or a bad person to playwith thats how i see itstupid question.....
Just like the gamerscore, gaming rep showcases your dedication on playing a videogame and also can reflect your conduct playing with others online. Positive feedback from other players = more stars.
It is supposed to be an indication of your feedback from other gamers you have played against.Nothing to do with whether or not you are new to the Live service or dedicated to a particular game.
