1080p Quality Question

I just got a new Westinghouse 37'' 1080p Monitor (basically a TV with a ton of HD connections but no coaxial input).  The TV does not support 1080p input through a component connection.  It does accept 1080p through the VGA connection.  My question is:If I bought the 360 Elite would the quality be better through HDMI since it is digital or would it not be much different from VGA?  I don%26#39;t really care if the quality is barely noticeable.1080p Quality Question
HDMI would be your best bet but VGA wouldn't be too far off in terms of quality...1080p Quality Question
http://www.carltonbale.com/2006/11/1080p-does-matter/ http://www.carltonbale.com/wp-content/uploads/resolution_chart.png Read those two. Now Im going to explain that unless you have a screen 50%26#39;%26#39; or bigger, 1080p is not going to seem better than 720p anyway. So it doesnt matter, because you have a 37%26#39;%26#39; TV. You would not notice a difference between 720p and 1080p. However you probably would notice a difference between HDMI and VGA/Component though. It has better image quality [HDMI] because it%26#39;s a digital signal. So youre better off getting the Elite. Which is good.

Kevin forgot to mention that the recommended res for your TV is 1080P. 720P is going to look washed out.  Besides as of today the Xbox 360 update has a new option that fixes the washed out VGA Colors. Enjoy the TV and go with the VGA Cable :]
i want a 1080p TV :[ I gotta share the 720p one downstairs with my roommate... it is his in the first place
Ya my TV upsalces all content to 1080p, thats since thats its recomended resolution.
Ya my TV upsalces all content to 1080p, thats since thats its recomended resolution.
That doesnt make sense. If it%26#39;s upscaling to 1080p then the recommended resolution isnt also 1080p. It upscales because it does not accept 1080p, it accepts 1080i which can be made into 1080p.

The difference between 720p and 1080p -- for Xbox anyway -- is very minimal to the point where I can barely see a difference. Most people wouldn%26#39;t be able to even tell. But if you don%26#39;t have a 360 yet, definitely go for the Elite. The extra storage space is there if you need it and the digital signal offers a better picture, regardless of what resolution you%26#39;re running it at. My PC monitor runs at less than 1080p (not that it matters because it%26#39;s only 21'' widescreen, right?) but it%26#39;s got a digital signal (in this case, DVI). The VGA cable produced a still sharp, but washed out by comparison, picture.EDIT: Oh wait, you already HAVE a 360? Are you nuts? Keep the 360 you have and use VGA. It%26#39;s sharper than the component.
