When I bring up the list of video%26#39;s on my computer, it is populated with the files that are .avi, but when I click play nothing happens! Is this preperation for an upcoming update? Or is my 360 broken :??The 360 recognises .avi's now??

The Xbox 360 does play .avi files, but they have to be encoded in MPEG-4 format for them to play. (Note: .avi files are simply containers for a whole multitude of different formats).
