i went to this store down the street, where i live and i bought an elite and the guy said i need a elite games to play on it and new elite controllers. Is this true or is he a rip off.will my current 360 games work on my eli ...

he just wants your money, go to another store and make sure the guy knows you%26#39;re not going to his place. you can play your ''regular'' games on the elite, core, premium, and elite all play the exact same games. same with controllers.

They play the exact same games the only real difference is that the elite has a bigger hard drive and some other stuff.

And to answer the Topic Creator%26#39;s question, NO DO NOT buy that Gears of War. He is just trying to scam you. The reason it says Elit on the package, is because it is a special edition which come with extra content such as a useless ''making of the game'' DVD, useless artwork book, and a bunch of other crap you really don%26#39;t need. Save yourself the time and money, and just buy the regular Gears of War game. I assure you that it will play on your Elite XBOX 360. All Xbox 360%26#39;s have the same DVD-drive, which plays all the same games. Question BUSTED.
