Good Ol' Double Dragon

I used to play Double Dragon when it was the hottest thing at mall arcades. This morning was the first time that I had played the game in about 15 years. I loved it, it%26#39;s a near perfect arcade port. The enchanced graphics actually makes the original arcade graphics look bad. Playing on Live is a blast, if you have a teamate that uses their mic. If you haven%26#39;t tried this game yet, check out the trial version and try it out (you%26#39;ll miss alot of awesome things, namely the ending).Have any other old schoolers tried it out yet?Good Ol' Double Dragon
Not yet, but I will. All hail the gaming miracle that is XBLA!Good Ol' Double Dragon
I%26#39;m knda pisst that i bought it, it cost 400points ruffly$5.75, i had never played it before and i beat it in 15 min. Thats why i think all remastered old games on XBLA should be free, same with Contra, never played it beat that in like 10min. Waist of money in my opinion.
Good ol school classic!
Good ol school classic!
Lol, I had flashbacks when I played through it. It an identical arcade port, it even has slowdown at the exact same places that the arcade version did. The ending is also as sweet as ever in co-op.;)

Back in the day, you got three on your console, and in the arcade you had to put more money in to continue. Those endless continues shorten a game tremendously. I would suggest to you to go for the Hero achievment, see how many minutes it takes to accomplish that.
this game is the king of the arcadr. this is one of my favorites of all time and it looks like i may never get off of my 360.

Contra and Double Dragon were tough back in my day (the 80%26#39;s)
I like the enhanced graphics. Hopefully this raises the bar for retro releases. I mean, I still bought Paperboy even with it%26#39;s awful graphics, but having redone art definitely would%26#39;ve sweetened the deal. In Double Dragon%26#39;s case, I might have to stick with classic art though... Adobo just isn%26#39;t as funny in the update.
I STAYED UP ALL NIGHT TO PLAY THIS ONE I HAVENT PLAYED THE ACTUAL ARCADE IN 15 YRS I LOVE IT MY FAV GAME BY FAR SO ANYONE WHO KNOCKS THIS GAME MUST NOT KNOW THERE ROOTS!!!

Double Dragon is easily the best port on live arcade yet. I%26#39;m an old skool gamer and I remember playing this to death in arcades when I was younger. I love the game and at 400 points this is a steal. Looking forward to playing it co-op over live with my sister later on, she%26#39;s a fan too
My first time playing through, I got matched with a guy that used to play the arcade macine. We laughed our ****** off the whole way through. The ending in the co-op game was just the icing on the cake.
i would rather have rivercity ransom...
i would rather have rivercity ransom...
buy a Wii and hope for the best?I just played through DD for the first time in probably 10-15 years. Pretty tough when playing alone I can tell ya. It%26#39;ll take a while to score that Hero achievement for sure.
double dragon is sweet, i want battletoads next!
SWEET! I%26#39;ve been waiting for 2 months for DD to be on XBLA (I think it was originally supposed to be out in March).
Well this is a great port of this game. I remember saving my lunch money when I was a kid so I could go to the Pizza place and play this on Arcade. Damn this arcade took alot of money from me. I am glad I only have to pay $5 to play it now!! But yes it is great port. Wander what it will get on review. it is better than TMNT in my opionion. Also these type of games comming out on arcade are making me think more and more of not even buying a wii for old school games.

I tried it and I%26#39;m pretty happy with the port.   My Double Dragon Mini Review
