My 360 is freezing a lot lately. It always freezes when I%26#39;m playing online co-op in Gears of War or when I%26#39;m playing a ranked match (sometimes during explosions, and sometimes very randomly, like when I%26#39;m slowly walking forward). Any explanations for this? Any way I can prevent/stop the freezing? I never play more than 3 hours at a time. I have a warranty so I%26#39;m not too worried about replacing it.Frozen 360

It seems I must answer and reassure many people today. Anyways, I will tell you straight up. You either have it in an area that is causing the machine to overheat. Make sure the console AND the power brick has at least approximately one foot between each other (give or take), AND that the back of the 360 has LOTS of breathing room for the fan to shove out heat. Make sure the 360 is not sitting on anything soft which will cause it to sink down and overheat. Have it on a solid surface. umm...like I said do all these things and give it lots of breathing room. hmm... Oh, and what ever you do, DO NOT PUT IT ON THE FLOOR. it will lead to certain death for the 360. Do all these things, and if the freezing still occurrs after playing for a couple of days, THEN I suggest calling xbox support, because it may be a hardware error. But do not call if it isn%26#39;t inhibiting your joy of gaming too much, because xbox support can vary from really good, to horribly bad. So don%26#39;t call unless it is still freezing after a while. Hope I helped!
Right, thanks. It even freezes during demos (Crackdown, Forza 2) so I think it must be a hardware problem. I have it well ventilated, on a hard surface, and the brick is in an open area as well. It still gets hot as heck, but I don%26#39;t know what else I can do to cool it down short of aiming my floor fan at it.
