Forza 2 Demo Controls Question.

I downloaded the Forza2 demo today, and was very frustrated. I never played forza before this, and when ever I turn I slip and slide and crash off the track. Its like im driving on ice. Im very worried because i was very excited for the game, now im not so sure because of the handling. Any advice?
Forza 2 Demo Controls Question.
always brake more than you think you should, this is no arcade you know ^^Edit: oh and start with C cars and work from thereForza 2 Demo Controls Question.
Go slower? You turn at 100 mph on the first turn without breaking...
Turn on the assisted line, or whatever it%26#39;s called.
We call this a racing SIMULATOR.  It%26#39;s not like PGR3 or NFS.  You can%26#39;t take a quick turn at 200 mph like in an arcade game.

In the full game you can buy softer tires, and buy custum suspention (spelling) to make turns a little easier.
Go slower.
Whatever you do make you leave ABS on because having brakes lock is a pain.
Remember its a simulation, which means you should at least try and drive like you do in a real car.  Here are a few pointers:
  • Remember the gas a brakes are presure sensitive, therefore do not press them in a rush fashion.  Think about your car, when you accelerate you dont jam on the gas and when you decelerate you dont jam on the brakes.  Its the same in Forza, you must ease into the gas and brakes to stop spin outs and loss of traction.
  • Remember to glance at the speedometer from time to time to be reminded of your speed.  On the tv screen 100 mph does not seem like 100mph in real life, it seems much slower.  Therefore get used to glancing at the speedometer to get an idea as to what is fast and too fast.  This will help greatly when taking corners.
  • Many corners can be taken without applying full gas, infact if you have a series of small turns to navigate try gliding into the turn and then accelerating out.  Also, try not to brake and turn at the same time, this helps cause loss of control.
  • Learn the tracks.  Knowing the fast turns and those on which you must apply more braking is an absolute nessecity.
  • Patience.  This is a simulation not an arcade game, its the kind of game that takes you a month to learn and even longer to master.  But once you get the hang of it you will never want to put it down...
Stick with these basic priciples and you will find your experiance much more enjoyable.Cheers... 8)
braking might be a help try keeping the car at a good speed through the corners only step on the gas knowing you dont need to take your foot of it
actually you roll on the gas,  the same as you would in a real car,  same with the brakes.  you dont have to have either to the floor all the time
i ment at a certain time so you get a good lap time
1 word. DIRT.
