A Core system is exactly the same as the Premium, without the hard drive attached to it and silver tray slot. Meaning you can add the 20GB hard drive to it. If he uses the Video Marketplace, however, I%26#39;d suggest that he get the 120GB hard drive as 20GB will fill up quickly.
