auto turn off after dowloading

how does this work? do you let your xbox sit on the dashboard and when your downloads are done, it turns off?auto turn off after dowloading
You start a download,then turn the consol of. It will instead go to a low power mode until the console has completed the download then it will turn off on its own. YOU HAVE TO toggle this feature from the systems blade. auto turn off after dowloading
i turned the background downloading on this morning, then signed out, and turned the system off. i came home from school and it hadnt downloaded at all.
Try not signing out. Did you see the center power light flashing yellow when you turned it off after setting the download?
When you turn off your console and the auto turn off is on, the little green symbol in the middle of the power button will flash every 5-10 seconds. When you notice the symbol stops flashing, the download is finished.
Yeah I am pretty sure signing off completely defeats the purpose.
Yup I did it today with the Forza Demo.  I have an intercooler I%26#39;ve had on for well over a year now and it keeps the intercooler going at full speed, so I%26#39;m content knowing that I don%26#39;t have to worry about a heat build up in the low power mode.

All downloads would stop because as far as the xbox knows, it isn%26#39;t connected to live anymore. If you don%26#39;t sign out first and its set on background download then i am assuming it goes into the correct mode :)
