GEoW Multi ruined?

I recently came back to playing Gears of War multiplayer and I can honestly say that it is a terrible experience for me now. People kept on doing a weird chainsaw glitch on me where I would instantly blow up as soon as I killed a guy. I played about 3 games and there was so many glitchers. Also, has the community got worse? I was playing a 4 vs. 3 (me being one of the guys making 3) and the other team kept on saying how much we suck. Now, I don%26#39;t mind trash talk once in awhile, but this was happening every game. I%26#39;m not trying to troll or say Gears of War is a bad game, but the multiplayer used to be good and now it%26#39;s just turned out to be so bad for me. Any one else feeling the sae way?

I have never enjoyed multiplayer on  GeoW.  It%26#39;s just not set up well.GEoW Multi ruined?
Gears online started sucking royaly after its first update. Now all everyone does is Run up on each other with shotguns. whats the point of a cover based shooter multiplayer, if you ignore the core mechanic. gears sucks online and its sad. it was so good for the first few weeks.
I don%26#39;t play Gears anymore because of all the cheaters, lag, a**holes, and host advantage.

[/QUOTE] Hey man, i know what you are talking about.  All those things you mentioned are EXTREAMLY annoying.  But on the other hand, not all games are like that.  I am still able to find games where glitchers get booted and people behave like normal mature human beings.  If I find myself in a match like you described, I just leave and move on to another one, even if the parameters of the game are not my favorite.  I would rather deal with some strange weapons swap than a team full of a**holes.  So keep your head up, and if you find yourself in a crappy game, take a break for 15 minutes if there are no oither games available right away and try again.  I guarantee you you will find a good match sooner than you think.  Its not all doom and gloom.
It truthfully depends on when you play if you play anytime before 9:30 pm Eastern time your gonna run into a bunch of kids that should probably be doing homework but instead are online with friends and talking enormous ammounts of crap. Any earlier than 3 tho you run into many people from other countries, usually england or some other countries in europe.
But afte 9:30 its usually adults or atleast people who arnt gonna talk that much smack or glitch. But that glitch is the most annoying thing ever and i wish there was somthing we could do to them but MS wont listen and complaing only makes them do it more. But thats suspected when you play any online game and theres somethign to exploit. You can only bite the bullet and hope the next game is better.

I finally got fed up with all the trash talk.  I don%26#39;t mind it every so often, and I don%26#39;t mind giving it every so often either, but that is usually when I KNOW who I am playing with, aka friends of mine, so I know that they are only kidding around and trying to give me a hard time.  It was all those butt munchers who I don%26#39;t know that start talking just plain mean trash that I finally got fed up with.  I don%26#39;t play much live anymore because of it.  I get it, I%26#39;m not the best player in the world.  I have a life, and it doesn%26#39;t include playing every waking minute online so I can do a headshot kill while upside down and drinking mountain dew.

that is why i only play with friends now
It can be a crappy experience sometimes. I tend to  find more a**holes than mature players most of the time.  Whatever happened to good sportsmanship anyway? oh well...when I do find mature players however I still really enjoy this game
I play player matches with my friends, if a glitcher comes in he%26#39;s booted ( which is rare though). I also play ranked with my friends, if someone is glitching, we move on to another game. Whats so hard about that?
I put my copy away until Sept when the new maps are free.  I refuse to buy any more DLC from MS.  Call me cheap, but I long for the days of the PC games and true Fan Service.  I%26#39;m very close to canceling my Gold Live service as well.
Yah...the multiplayer was never really that good in Gears to be honest. It was only entertaining for a few weeks.
I love Gears of War online...but now....Theres is a terrible trash talking/glitching community.Enormous amounts of lag from hosts.And there are barely any more matches because of those stupid new maps. 
Yeah, I hear ya. I only play with my friends now, but never seriously. But hey, patches can only make it better now, right? ... Er, I hope they can.
I dont know, Its still good man. Its annoying when everyone quits, someone has to fix that. not the best out there, still decent.
